New Return Rule: Return Rejected

Using Return Rules, you set up smart rules to automatically process or stop your returns. Three Rules were already available:

  • Gate-Keeper
  • Free returns
  • Approve without return
And to this we added a fourth variant that many of our customers have asked for, namely:

  • Return Rejected

Return rejected

You can use the Return Rejected rule to prevent a consumer from creating a return if they do not meet the conditions.

Some examples:

The order is older than 14 days and the return reason is not "Warranty".
The customer is a business customer and the return reason is not "Product damaged".
The category of the product is "Personalised product".

In particular, preventing products that are customised for consumers is a powerful way to prevent returns. Also, the rule can be used well to distinguish warranty cases from regular returns. For example, you can allow warranty cases to be returned, but block regular returns older than 14 days.

Return Rules instellen

Return rules are available to all customers with an Automate subscription. To set the rules, go to Return Forms in the returns portal. Open the desired return form and enter the desired rules there in the Return Rules settings.
